25 years…most impactful day of my life. Entered the Academy in a time of peace. The events sophomore year that took place changed the lives of many - heroes gave their lives to save many and rebuilt our city. Class of 2004 took the oath the following year willingly to do the same in foreign lands. We suffered the highest casualty rate since those that graduated during the Vietnam War. I’m forever grateful and humbled by serving alongside warriors & witnessing firsthand what we were able to achieve as a nation. We must continue to educate the next generation with this passion and sacrifice to keep and protect our freedom — Whereas, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same..." RR
