Position: FOD Engineer
Location: Baku, Azerbaijan

Role Purpose
The FOD Engineer is responsible for overseeing field operations related to elevator and escalator installation, commissioning, maintenance, modernization, and service activities. The role ensures compliance with Mitsubishi Electric quality, safety, and technical standards while supporting operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, contractors, consultants, project teams, and field technicians to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient execution of field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for elevators and escalators.
Ensure all field operations comply with Mitsubishi Electric policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Conduct site inspections, equipment assessments, and technical audits.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and installation documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, customers, consultants, and contractors regarding project execution and technical matters.
Prepare service reports, commissioning records, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
Train and mentor field technicians on technical procedures, safety requirements, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 7–8 years of experience in field engineering, service engineering, installation, commissioning, or maintenance operations.
Experience within the elevator and escalator industry is highly preferred.
Experience with industrial automation, electromechanical systems, or building services equipment will also be considered.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English, Russian, and Azerbaijani is highly preferred.
Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel within Azerbaijan as required.
