📏 Height: 100 m
🏢 Floors: 26
📐 Floor Area: 75,000 m²
Valley is unlike almost any other high rise in Europe.
Designed to resemble a rugged cliff face emerging from the heart of Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district, the building combines offices, apartments, retail, restaurants and publicly accessible sky gardens into a single vertical neighbourhood.
The dramatic natural stone façades, planted terraces and irregular geometry required exceptional collaboration between architects, structural engineers, façade specialists and contractors. More than 40,000 individual stone elements and thousands of trees, shrubs and plants were incorporated to blur the boundary between architecture and nature.
The result is one of the most sustainable and visually distinctive mixed use developments completed in Europe in recent years.
