How long should an elevator last?
It’s a simple question, but the answer isn’t quite as straightforward as you might think.
A lift’s age is only part of the story. How it’s been used, maintained and designed can all influence its lifespan and different components can age at very different rates.
So rather than asking “How old is my lift?”, a better question might be: “What condition is it in, and can it still be upgraded?”
