HIRING - Hall & Car Signal Assembler

Schumacher Elevator Company is seeking to fill the position of Hall & Car Signal Assembler within our Manufacturing team.

This role is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of hall and car signal equipment, including car front assemblies. This position interprets cab and signal prints to determine production requirements and prioritizes work using load lists and supports efficient workflow using established scheduling systems.

What you need for this position: 

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical prints. 

• Proficiency in operating hand and power tools safely and effectively. 

• Ability to prioritize work using scheduling systems, including load lists. 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required 

• Previous manufacturing and assembly experience preferred

What you’ll be doing: 

• Read and interpret cab and signal prints prior to fabrication and assembly. 

• Fabricate and assemble hall signals, car signals, fixtures, and related components. 

• Operate the Axiom laser etching machine and perform fill painting of etched parts. 

• Lift, load, and stage raw materials and fabricated components. 

• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy for stainless steel production components. 

• Assist with equipment maintenance as needed. 

• Support other manufacturing areas as workload demands.
