Shyam Kurumkar √ has joined TK Elevator India as Deputy General Manager – Modernization Sales, taking charge of the company's modernization business across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. As Regional Head for Western India, he will lead growth strategies for elevator modernization and full replacement solutions, strengthen relationships with developers, consultants, facility management firms, and enterprise customers, and drive business expansion across one of India's fastest-growing infrastructure markets. His appointment comes as the country's aging building stock and increasing focus on safety, energy efficiency, and smart urban infrastructure are accelerating demand for elevator modernization, making the role strategically important to TK Elevator's long-term growth plans.
Kurumkar brings nearly two decades of experience in the vertical transportation industry, with deep expertise spanning sales, operations, installation, and regional business leadership. Prior to joining TK Elevator, he spent over a decade at TOSHIBA JOHNSON ELEVATORS (INDIA) PRIVATE LIMITED, most recently serving as AGM – West, where he led regional sales and installation while overseeing P&L performance, operational excellence, and market expansion. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Hitachi Lift India, Fujitec Elevators & Escalators, and Petrobuild International Elevator (Hitachi – Qatar), building strong capabilities in strategic sales, customer engagement, and project execution. His broad industry experience positions him to drive modernization-led growth as India's building mobility ecosystem continues to evolve.
