Stepping into the elevator on MV Highlander, the first thing I noticed was the certification plate — valid, current, from the local KONE branch. A small detail, but one that says a lot.
That was the case on both MV Highlander and MV Blue Puttees during a summer vacation to Newfoundland. Two ferry crossings, two vessels, and elevators that performed flawlessly each time. As someone in the industry, it's genuinely great to see equipment maintained properly and kept up to standard — it's easy to take for granted until you notice it done right.
