Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line has fully entered the E&M phases and made a step forward with the successful delivery and positioning of all 12 escalator trusses.
Given the limited work area, the project team adopted a carefully engineered approach, lifting each escalator section weighing up to 7 tonnes by tower crane and assembling them at the concourse level through a precise, segment‑by‑segment assembly process.
Since the station topped out recently, a series of E&M installations and building services works have been pushing forward in full swing, getting ready for the station’s commissioning in 2027.
