Deferring an elevator repair can sometimes make sense when the issue is minor and properly monitored. But repeatedly postponing necessary work can create a very different outcome. Worn components can affect surrounding equipment, recurring problems can increase downtime, and what began as a manageable repair may eventually become a much larger expense. The challenge for building owners is knowing the difference between work that can reasonably wait and work that shouldn't. An independent equipment evaluation helps establish those priorities based on actual condition rather than assumptions. Capital dollars are limited. The goal isn't to address everything at once it's to make sure today's savings don't quietly become tomorrow's emergency.
