I am happy to share that I successfully defended my Master's thesis earlier this month.
My thesis, "Evaluation and Design of Robust Communications for Managed Elevators and IoT Devices," was carried out in collaboration with TK Elevator's DTX team. The research evaluated the communication architecture used in managed elevator systems and explored how communication robustness can be improved through better failure detection, recovery mechanisms, and a resilient publish–subscribe architecture.
A big thank you to my manager and mentor, Thomas A. Roth, for his continuous guidance, valuable feedback, and support throughout both my research project and master's thesis, and to Prof. Dr. Andreas Grebe for his supervision and encouragement. I am also grateful to TK Elevator and Cologne University of Applied Sciences for providing me with the opportunity to work on this topic.
