For more than 150 years, the Roosevelt Hotel has been part of Waco’s story. Originally built in 1872 as the McClelland House Hotel, the historic property was later purchased by Conrad Hilton and became part of Hilton’s early hotel legacy.
Over the decades, the building has continued to serve the Waco community through many chapters of change. After being sold to local investors during the Great Depression, the property was renamed the Roosevelt Hotel in 1934 in honor of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
