Dr. Sridhar Rajagopal has been elevated to Vice President & Managing Director, Southeast Asia at Otis Elevator Co., taking on a broader regional leadership mandate across one of the company’s key markets. Based in Singapore, he will build on more than a decade of leadership experience within Otis spanning sales and marketing, strategy, digitalisation, business development and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this elevation, Rajagopal served as Vice President Sales & Marketing, Otis Asia Pacific and Global Head of Sigma Elevator Co., following his earlier role as Vice President Sales and Marketing, Otis Asia Pacific. His expanded remit reflects a progression from functional and regional commercial leadership into a broader managing director role, with responsibility for driving business performance and market growth across Southeast Asia while leveraging his extensive experience across the elevator and building systems industry.
Rajagopal has built a career spanning more than two decades across strategy, M&A, business leadership and industrial operations. At Otis Elevator Co., he previously led Sales & Marketing, Strategy and M&A for India and served as Senior Director Marketing, Communication, Strategy and M&A for the Northeast Asia region covering Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Earlier, he headed M&A and joint ventures for Otis Elevator Co. India, including P&L responsibility for two joint ventures, and subsequently led M&A across the Pacific Asia area. At UTC Building and Industrial Systems, he headed M&A for South Asia Pacific and later expanded his remit to Asia. Before joining Otis Elevator Co., he was Executive Director and Business Head at Armstrong World Industries India, Business Head at Piramal Glass UK and Vice President – Strategic Planning at Nicholas Piramal India. He began his consulting career with A.T. Kearney, adding a strong strategic and transformation foundation to his operating leadership experience.
