🚑On #WorldPatientSafetyDay, I'd like to highlight an often-overlooked part of hospital infrastructure: elevators.

Every day, patients, healthcare professionals, beds, medical equipment, and critical supplies rely on safe and efficient mobility throughout the hospital. At AKH Vienna, Austria's largest hospital, Otis modernized ten elevators in close collaboration with our long-standing customer VAMED-KMB Krankenhausmanagement und Betriebsführungsges.m.b.H., the organization responsible for the hospital's technical operations.

Together, we delivered a modernization project that was completed while keeping hospital operations running smoothly, helping improve reliability, streamline workflows, and support the people who depend on these systems every day.

Behind every elevator ride is the same purpose: supporting safe patient care.
