More than two years ago, when I arrived in Egypt, one of the first Arabic words I learned was “shukran” (thank you). It has probably been the word I’ve used most ever since.
As we celebrated Otis Egypt’s 70th anniversary, I found myself saying it many times once again.
Shukran to our customers for their trust, often built over decades. Shukran to our partners for their collaboration. And above all, shukran to our team, whose talent, dedication and local expertise help us deliver for our customers every day.
Celebrating 70 years in Egypt is about more than marking a milestone. It reflects Otis’ long-standing commitment to the country and our ambition to remain a trusted long-term partner for our customers and the communities where we operate.
What makes me especially proud is the combination of the strength of a global company and an exceptional local team that understands the market and works every day to meet our customers’ evolving needs.
It was a privilege to celebrate this achievement together, and I’m excited about what comes next: continuing to innovate, bringing new technologies to the market, developing local talent, and contributing to the growth and future of this remarkable country.
