Join Liftec Express UK as Finance Director
Liftec Express UK is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to take full ownership of the finance function and act as a key partner to the Managing Director and investors.
In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll provide financial direction, drive performance, ensure rigorous controls, and contribute to our long-term value creation. This hybrid role, based in Dartford, UK, is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, dynamic business at the forefront of its industry.
Key Responsibilities:
✔️Own the full finance function, including FP&A, financial control, reporting, compliance, audit and tax
✔️Partner with the Managing Director to develop and implement business strategies, budgets and performance targets
✔️Lead and deliver timely, accurate monthly management accounts with actionable insights
✔️Manage working capital and cash flow forecasting with a relentless focus on collections, billing, and cost control
✔️Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning process
✔️Lead business performance reviews and provide data-driven recommendations to support operational and commercial teams
✔️Prepare investor and board reports, liaise with PE owners, banks, auditors, and external stakeholders
✔️Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and finance governance
✔️Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and reporting
✔️Support the Managing Director on key ad hoc tasks and requests.
What You Bring:
✔️Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA); Master’s in Finance or Accounting
✔️10+ years in senior finance roles, ideally within engineering or construction businesses
✔️Proven ability to improve cash flow, profitability and commercial outcomes
✔️Hands-on, detail-driven, and comfortable in fast-paced, change-led environments
✔️Strong financial modelling, analytical and leadership skills
✔️Familiarity with ERP systems and post-merger finance integration preferred
✔️Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at board level
✔️Strong leadership presence with ability to engage and align cross-functional teams
