A weekend in Paris and, naturally, a visit to the Eiffel Tower was a must.
Most people go for the breathtaking views and the history. Myself… I went to look at the lifts! 😄
One of the unexpected highlights of the day was bumping into one of the Otis Elevator Co. engineers working on site. We had a great chat about the lifts, the unique challenges of maintaining such an iconic landmark, and our shared passion for the industry.
It just goes to show that no matter where you are in the world, lift engineers have a knack for finding each other—and talking lifts!
Huge respect to everyone involved in keeping millions of visitors moving safely every year. It’s easy to admire the Eiffel Tower itself, but there’s an incredible amount of engineering behind the scenes that most people never get to see.
