One thing I’ve come to appreciate more and more is that part of hard work is earned time off.
Don’t get me wrong… I don’t look at time off as an entitlement.
When you’re working hard, showing up, taking care of customers, building relationships and doing everything you can to move things forward, I believe you earn the opportunity to step away for a little while.
As I enjoy some time off, I’ve been thinking about the past year and a half at Nouveau.
A lot has happened.
New customers.
New relationships.
A lot of learning.
A lot of growth.
A few challenges along the way.
And, quite honestly, a lot of hard work.
I’m proud of what we’re building at Nouveau and grateful for the people who have trusted me and the company along the way.
But now it’s time to hit the pause button for a few days.
Spend some time with my darling bride.
Enjoy some good food.
See some new places.
Slow down a little.
The work will still be there when I get back.
And I’ll come back rested, recharged and ready to get after it again.
Work hard. Earn the time off and Enjoy it! Then get back after it.
That sounds like a pretty good plan to me.
