As I approach 40, (or version 4.0 as I’ve recently read 😉) I’ve been reflecting on the journey so far.
When I look back, the most defining part of the journey to now, has been the people. The colleagues who challenged me, the mentors who guided me, the teams who trusted me, and the individuals who taught me lessons I didn’t even know I needed.
Working with #people has been the greatest source of growth. Every conversation, every collaboration, every moment of shared pressure or shared success has shaped how I lead and how I show up.
And perhaps the most exciting part of approaching 40 is knowing there are still so many people I haven’t met yet. Future colleagues, collaborators, mentors, and friends, who will shape the next chapter in ways I can’t predict.
If you’re stepping into an upgrade too (4.0 or beyond), here’s the reminder I’m carrying with me:
Own your journey, stay open to the people who will shape it, and be intentional about the environments you create for others.
