Last year, my brother Alastair was made redundant by Sainsbury’s after 18 years of loyal service when they closed the café at their Hazel Grove store.
After a well-earned break, he’s now looking for work again.
He would be a real asset to anyone seeking someone upbeat and customer-facing. He made every customer at Sainsbury’s his friend and became something of a local celebrity — everyone knew him (and his birthday!). He’s a grafter too, with only one short period of sickness in 18 years and a consistently strong work ethic.
