Tianjin 117 is moving forward very fast.
I'm incredibly proud of the Otis teams who never stopped innovating throughout the project's long journey. From Gen3™ and SkyRise® technologies to SkyMotion® high-speed machines using advanced high-strength traction ropes combined with special traction sheave technology, our engineers continued pushing the boundaries of what's possible in supertall buildings.
Today, that innovation helps enable 12m/s elevator speeds 🚀 and also 597m rise ↕️ in one of the world's most ambitious towers.
But beyond the technology, this achievement is really about people, persistence, and commitment.
