Our team modernized a total of 16 elevators at Sydney’s 201 Elizabeth Street. “We did a full replacement of 11 double-deck elevators, while upgrading the mechanical aspects, including new machines for the two service elevators,” explains Jean-Baptiste Beaufort, a Modernization Project Manager in New South Wales. “The split lobby made working on the double-deckers an interesting challenge, with a lot of running between the levels, but we’re really pleased with the end result. Previously you could hear the machinery at work and people talking in the car below, but now the ride is much quieter and smoother."
