Some visits stay with you long after you've returned home. My time at the Chengdu Panda Base was one of those moments.
It was moving to see firsthand the care and commitment behind the efforts to protect and preserve one of the world's most beloved animals.
I was also honored to spend time with members of our Otis Elevator Co. team who help keep visitors moving safely throughout the site every day. Their dedication reflects something I see in our colleagues around the world: a deep commitment to serving customers and communities.
And, of course, seeing the pandas up close was a highlight. Watching them interact with one another, it was easy to understand why they inspire such affection from visitors across the globe.
Visits like this remind me that the places we help keep moving are often much more than buildings and infrastructure. They are places where people connect, learn, experience something new and create memories that last a lifetime.
